On Saturday the 9th of April, Mirage team hosts Franz Underwear, an Italian DJ and producer, who is responsible for Slow Motion releases and Retro Futuro parties, among many other things.

Franz Underwear is the stage name of Francesco Scala, who started his career as DJ and producer in 2005, while in 2007 he left Italy and lives permanently in Berlin. Between those two countries he organizes the successful Slow Motion parties (East Coast Disco, Retro Futuro, Teenage from Mars, Wrong Era, NuFunKlan) and from 2009 Slow Motion launches as an italo electronic disco label with artists like Clap Rules, Motorcycle Boy, Fratelli Riviera and Beppe Loda.

Franz Underwear’s DJ set is a mix of electro, old school disco, obscure italo disco, new wave, 80s, acid and techno.

Along with Franz Underwear will be Methi (Mirage resident DJ), who has played with lots of artists from abroad, most recently with Antoni Maiovvi, Matt Moroder, Telonius and Artur8 from KDMS, but also in the past with Bottin, Black Devil Disco Club, JBAG, Punks Jump Up, Cassius, AutoKratz and also with Steve Strange of the legendary Visage in Blitz Remixed event in London.

Event starts at 00:00 and admission is free.

Franz Underwear

Franz's musical career started in his teens, where he travelled much of Italy playing concerts with his noise/rock band. At the same time he began collecting records encompassing a wide variety of genres. Here was his opportunity amalgamate and switch between several differing styles.

His Dj and promotions career began in 2005, he moved from Italy to Berlin in 2007. Since then he’s been all over town enforcing his DJ talents and has managed to play all main underground clubs as well as well known hip locations around the city and built up a strong network of music lover and players of the music segment., Not to mention run successful nights in some of Berlin's most popular venues. He runs the Slow Motion parties and label between Italy and Berlin. Slow Motion (EastCoastDisco) stands for good quality electro and obscure italo disco sound mixed with all swinging kind of music styles. His dj set is a mix of electro, old school disco, obscure italo disco, detroit, chicago, techno, acid, new-wave, 80's.

Slow Motion operates since 2005 as an event organization collective in the field of electronic music, club installation, visual art and disco dancing. Originally based in mid-Italy, it is now also one of the freshest and active organization in the Berlin night scene. The parties that we create and promote with SLOW MOTION are: East Coast Disco, Teenage from Mars, Wrong Era, RetroFuturo. NuFunKlan.

The heads behind Slow Motion are a crew of friends from Pescara/Chieti with the same taste of music and many different ideas, which they bring together to form a unique musical atmosphere. Playing the best underground dance music , the resident DJs are highly delighted to host some of the most interesting international DJs, bands, musicians and live acts.

The 2009 is the year of the launch of the label “SLOW MOTION RECORDS”; A platform for high quality electronic disco form the home of Italo, has been lacking for some time, and so we wanted to take our time in finding the best possible music that represents the sound we love and the music of our parties. Fusing the best of a new breed of Italian producers like Clap Rules, Motorcycle Boy and Fratelli Riviera with serous heavyweights like Beppe Loda, Slow Motion Records represents the future sound of Italian disco.

The debut album “Slow Motion Volume 1″ is exclusively distributed worldwide by Intergroove since September 2009, achieving a strong consensus from the dance scene and major international artists and producers.The second release, “Wrong Era EP” is set to catapult this small Italian label into the big time. This time around and it’s all about the charms of Italy’s very own Motorcycle Boy who delivers two stunning original tracks backed up with white hot remixes from The Heels of Love and old school disco hero Fabrizio Mammarella.

Lust

Lust or lechery (carnal "luxuria") is usually thought of as excessive thoughts or desires of a sexual nature. Aristotle's criterion was excessive love of others, which therefore rendered love and devotion to God as secondary.
